What is the #goodcopsgiveaway

When I first thought of creating a podcast, I hoped to one day be able to provide equipment and items necessary for our job to officers who worked for agencies that did not supply them with said equipment. In 2021, the #goodcopsgiveaway was born.

Officers around the country go to work for agencies that issue them old and outdated vests, or make them purchase their own vests, firearms, handcuffs, and other necessities. Often, these agencies simply cannot afford to issue their officers what they need.

The Good Cops Giveaway will be conducted annually in the Fall. There will be a grand-prize winner, a first runner-up and a second runner-up.

How do I nominate an officer?

Any peace officer in the United States can be nominated (or nominate themselves). Follow @themoderncoppodcast on Instagram to see when the giveaway will start. Once the nomination period opens, tag the officer(s) you wish to nominate. If the officer you want to nominate does not have Instagram, simply send me a direct message with their name and I will add them to the nominee list.
