The Modern Cop
Stories from today’s generation of law enforcement officers
The Modern Cop was created in the wake of high profile police incidents in 2020 in an effort to give people everywhere a glimpse behind the badge. The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, The Podcast App, Google Podcasts, and Audible.
The Modern Cop
2020 was a tough year to be a cop. In the wake of multiple high profile events, law enforcement officers across the nation suffered unrelenting and unprecedented violence, coupled with spiraling morale. In an effort to show that cops are people too, I created this podcast. After a few solo episodes, I found that I preferred to speak to other officers from around the country and around the world about their experiences. I did this for two reasons:
1.) To give people a glimpse behind the polished brass curtain and hear from our side of the thin blue line.
2.) To help other cops realize they are not alone.

Now, TMC brings guests from all walks of life onto the show to speak about their lives - be they cops, victims of violent crimes, reformed gang members, authors, or anyone else who can offer life lessons.

About me:
I’ve been a police officer since 2017. I worked as a patrol officer until 2021, and was then transferred into the Special Victims Unit where I currently serve as a detective.
